Perfect Darling

Perfect Darling is an online exhibition of charcoal drawings on coloured Japanese paper, paired with matching dainty frames and a handful of encaustic works. This new series explores stereotypes of feminine whimsy found in objects such as flowers, babies, dogs & kitties, and things mostly sugar and spice. Conceived as a step away from the darkness of winter and heavy hearts this collection of drawings is imbued with haunting energy and gestural mark making.

Sketches for charity ... is an online project of small charcoal drawings created to help those in need during the Covid-19 outbreak. 50% of each piece sold will be donated to the Edmonton Foodbank or a Foodbank of the purchaser's choosing.

Dana Holst's first solo exhibition with Christopher Cutts Gallery, entitled Girls! Girls! Girls! presents a series of new paintings and drawings that continue her exploration and obsession with female portraiture and narrative. Holst builds on themes of female identity development and the psychological impact of being a woman within the broader framework of social structure, and all it's trappings.
